El Mil Del Poaig
Simply one of the most exclusive and expensive olive oils in the world. A unique limited edition oil, so-called by the media "the world's most expensive olive oil", this pure extracted fruit juice combines quality, tradition, history and luxury presentation to create one of the most recognisable gourmet products on the planet. El Poaig’s extra virgin olive oil is produced from 437 millenarian Farga olive trees (2500 years old), a variety native to the area of El Maestrat on the East Mediterranean coast of Spain. Based on the surviving Farga trees, the production is limited to just 3000 bottles per year, making this oil a rare culinary delicacy! Packaged in a unique half-litre bottle designed by Spanish designers CuldeSac™, made from traditional Valencia ceramic and packed inside an artisanal wooden crate, creating the perfect balance between a luxury product and traditional production methods. The bottle design is developed in a way that each drop of the liquid gold is saved, and protected from the light. With pure and sensual curves, a porcelain tongue serves as pourer that displays the bright green colour of the oil, prevents leaking and eases the return of the oil into the bottle, allowing every drop to be appreciated.
Tasting notes: Medium fruity, soft bitter, slightly spicy and fluid. Immediate touch of summer breeze, fruity, citrus, orange blossom and almond aroma. Every touch is well-defined, not interfering in the rest. Artichoke, olive tree leaves the essence. Well-balanced start. Slightly bitter finishing notes.
